Introducing SVG

These pages are intended as a demonstration of some of the capabilities of scalable vector graphics.

The examples include interactive charts, animations, fractal images and more. Some of the examples, such as the charts, are designed as serious applications, while others are more "flights of fancy". However I hope that all are fun, as well as demonstrating the possibilities of SVG.

Viewing the pages

In order to view these pages you will need an SVG viewer. This is a helper application that allows your web browser to render the images.

If you can see the pictures to the left of this text, congratulations! you already have an SVG viewer installed.

If you cannot see the images you can download a free installation of the Adobe SVG viewer. It is recommended that you do this using Internet Explorer - if you are using Netscape or another browser read this first.

Navigation

The yellow raindrops are links. To find our more about where they go to just point the mouse cursor at a drop. To follow the link just click on the drop.

Some of the examples are deliberately designed to be cryptic. You are encouraged to explore, in order to find out what they do.
